The Madeira® Fire Fighter line is specifically made for the embroidery of textiles in need of flame resistance. Unlike chemically treated fire-retardant materials, Fire Fighter is made of Nomex® fibers, a material resistant to ignition, does not melt or drip, and will self-extinguish without a heat source.

In order to be entirely flame resistant, the Fire Fighter line includes 24 thread colors, as well as bobbin thread and backing. Every item in the line is tested and certified according to national laws and regulations for protective gear.
