Screen Printing

The backbone of our shop — bold, durable, built for volume.

Screen Printing
OVERVIEW

Screen printing is where Seaside started, and it's still the engine of the shop. Ink pushed through mesh, color by color, onto garments that'll survive hundreds of washes without fading.

We run four automatic presses alongside state-of-the-art computer-to-screen (CTS) wax imaging, so your films go straight from file to screen with no film positives, no registration headaches, and razor-sharp edges every time.

From a 24-piece team order to a 20,000-event run, we hold the same standard: opaque ink, accurate color, and a print that feels like part of the garment.

TYPES OF SCREEN PRINTING
Spot-Based Vector

Spot-Based Vector

Solid, individual colors printed one per screen — the standard for bold logos and graphics with clean, defined color separation.

Simulated Process

Simulated Process

Opaque ink colors blended to recreate photorealistic gradients and tones on dark garments — the go-to for detailed, photographic prints.

4-Color Process (CMYK)

4-Color Process (CMYK)

Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black halftones combine to reproduce full-color photographic images on light garments.

Index Screen Printing

Index Screen Printing

A square-dot halftone technique that produces consistent, textured color — great for large-format prints and bold, graphic-heavy designs.

THE PROCESS
01

Art & Separations

Your file is color-separated and assigned a Pantone. We proof every color count and location before a screen is made.

02

CTS Wax Imaging

Designs are burned directly to mesh with computer-to-screen wax — no film positives, tighter registration, finer detail.

03

Press Setup

Screens are loaded, registered, and dialed in on one of our four automatics. We print a strike-off and lock color against the proof.

04

The Run

Ink is pushed through the mesh, color by color, with flash cures between layers. 10–20k impressions a week, same quality on piece one and piece ten thousand.

05

Cure & QC

Every garment hits the dryer at the right temp and dwell time, then gets folded, counted, and inspected before it ships.

INSIDE THE WORKSHOP

Great prints start with great screens.

Our prints are only as sharp as the screens behind them. Tour our screen making process — mesh selection, coating, exposure, and reclaim — and see why our preparation is the reason your colors hit clean, every single time.

FAQ

What's the minimum for screen printing?

24 pieces per design. Below that, DTF is usually the better call.

Does each color cost more?

Yes — each color needs its own screen and setup. We price per color per location, and the per-unit cost drops as quantity rises.

Can you match an exact color?

We stock 52 Pantones and mix custom inks in-house, so we can hit just about anything.

How long does it last?

Properly cured plastisol prints outlast the garment — hundreds of washes with no cracking or fading.
