Iron-on or sew-on?
Both — iron-on for quick application, sew-on for maximum durability, velcro for removable patches.
Woven or embroidered?
Woven gives finer detail and a flat finish; embroidered gives a raised, textured look.
Can I get any shape?
Yes — die-cut patches can be any shape; merrowed gives a classic raised border on simpler shapes.
