Q: Who can apply for tax-exempt shopping?
A: Organizations with valid tax-exempt status, including nonprofits, resellers with resale certificates, and government entities, can apply to shop tax-free.
Q: How long does approval take?
A: Approvals typically take 1–2 business days. We will notify you once your account is approved for tax-exempt shopping.
Q: Can I place an order before my tax exemption is approved?
A: Yes, but sales tax will apply until your tax-exempt status is confirmed. If approved afterward, we are unable to refund tax on past orders, so we recommend waiting for approval if you wish to avoid sales tax.
Q: Do I need to resubmit my certificate for each order?
A: No. Once your account is approved for tax-exempt status, you will not need to resubmit for future orders, provided your certificate remains valid.
Q: I already placed an order but forgot to submit my certificate. Can you refund the tax?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot refund sales tax for orders placed before your tax-exempt status is approved. Please submit your certificate before placing your next order.
Q: What if my state does not issue a resale certificate?
A: Some states have specific forms or documentation requirements. Please refer to your states resources for additional information
Q: How do I place a tax-exempt order after approval?
A: Log in to your approved account or approved email, add your items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Sales tax will not be applied to your order.
